Olatunde Thomas Earnest, popularly known as Tunde Nightingale, was a Nigerian singer and guitarist, celebrated for his distinctive juju music style. Despite the emergence of guitar in Nigerian music during the ancient period, his juju style was not very popular among the Lagos elite, limiting his income opportunities to bars. By the 1960s, his music had gained popularity among Lagos socialites who deemed it suitable for social parties, leading to a tour abroad and a record deal with the TYC label.
